"Bilderflut" (lit.: "flood of images"), a digital playground and internet aesthetic research forms a collection of 100 collages over the span of three years. May contain triggering content.

Bilderflut

A process of handpicked images from deep internet rabbitholes led to an archive of approx. 5000 images. A series of 101 collages were made from this material. "Bilderflut" (lit: "image flood") was a long term project from 2017-2020 at art university. In this series he developed an understanding of composition, aesthetic elements, research and detail.

For his image selection Sapadi was critiqued by other students and some professors. Some works have been intentionally destroyed by others. An overreaction ? The artist grew up with the early internet. Everything was unrestricted, except credit card access. Rabbitholes had a shocking, terrifying and disturbing factor. Turning curiosity into a dangerous game of thrill. Curiosity is vulnerable.

The series is a middleground between sensitive and extreme. It could be more gentle and more extreme, but it prefers to remain balanced. A selection of twenty pieces can be seen here:
