Keanu Sapadi works in series with a definite medium. He approaches contemporary art with process-oriented drawing and naive poetry, using lecture-performance and installation as explanatory toys. The magic of exploration and discovery is used to logically lay-out decision-making and vice versa. His goal is to maintain an archaic stance in order to build progressive stepping stones and preserve natural well-being in an accelerated society. Take your time, you will need it.
Conceptual depth is the cherry on top. - But you need to be able to bake a cake and not sell "a cherry that could have been on top of a cake". That can make a cherry a very stupid thing, but i'd still devour the cherry on a cake any day. This kind of perspective is what i lay out in my performance lectures. Only that the topics revolve around archaic issues like rage.
The slow process creates a visual language that opposes the accelerated zeitgeist. The artist claims: "by taking time to grasp the image, we slow down. The only condition for a state of exploration and discovery to take form."
By acknowledgment, tranquility, compassion and clarity are found naturally.
I express myself freely, then i follow up with disciplined devotion. That is concentrated intuition. All that is needed is a sense of exploration and discovery. We become aware of our surroundings, before we become aware of ourselves. It's really a skill every human inherits.
A good work provides non-elaborative. Like a question we already know the answer, too. Or a puzzle we are confident to solve. Aesthetic value, is underestimated and diminished by over-explanation.
There is a reason, why finearts is seen by outsiders as pretentious, even cringe. Denying this is ignorance. It's a very inclusive world, that has very exclusive rules and etiquette. Ironically, it's the opposite of the admirable freedom art represents. Art is a cultural product. And culture is made to be shared, bring people together and enjoyed together.
"I'm just a normal dude in a society of gifted people."
And this is where the intuition is bridged with the intellect.
