Fragile Violence

The song of wrath, Fragile Violence, explores anger. Every image elaborates a different nuance of wrath. Anger is versatile, but negatively generalized. Ironically a liberating sensation is felt, when a valve to express it, is found, which is popculturally known as venting. Following Sapadi's question on how to transform energy into a ressource. The destructive power of rage strikes dread and fear. To approach the cathartic idea (here) this too must be embraced. The artist's stance and drawing technique allows anger the freedom to express itself. Rejecting the ordinary creates psychological problems by oppression (of emotions). Embracing ire connects us to our archaic soul. Martha Nussbaum theorizes that anger is connected to righteousness and justice. More specifically in damaging our perception of what is right (physically and psychologically) our perception of right is hurt, causing anger. The dread of anger translates into the fear of getting hurt - a natural survival instinct. The beauty of wrath lies in its protective nature. Knowing this can be used to initiate a process of healing. Anger serves as a compass to find the terrifying root of our pain. If it was not painful, there would be no need for healing.
